Admission Criteria

G.N.M (DIPLOMA IN NURSING) –

Course Duration: 3 years

Admission Criteria:

  • Age- Minimum age for admission will be 17 years respectively, as on 31st December of year.There is no age for ANM/LHV.
  • Minimum education eligibility criteria for admission to GNM:
  • 10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable. Three (core elective) subject marks may be taken for calculating the percentage of marks excluding the marks in English. Also, it has to be ensured the candidate has pass marks in English.
  • 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational StreamHealth care Science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre.
  • Registered ANM with pass marks.
  • Reservation Policy
  • For disabled candidates: 3% Disability reservation to be considered with a disability of locomotor to the tune of 40% to 50% of the lower extremity and other eligibility criteria with regard to age and qualification will be same as prescribed for each nursing program.

Note: A committee to be formed consisting of medical officer authorized by medical board of State government and a nursing expert in the panel which may decide whether the candidates have the disability of locomotor of 40% to 50%. 5% of total marks is relaxed for SC/ST candidates.

  • Any other reservation as per the State Government.

10% supernumerary seats for foreign students shall be reserved. However, supernumerary seats will be 25% of total seats granted under Section 13 & 14 of INC Act, 1947 for the institutions which have parent hospital of 300 beds or more. This supernumerary quota of foreign students will not be filled by any other quota/general seats.

Note:- Reservations shall be applicable within the sanctioned number of the seats by INC and not prescribed by the Council. 4. 5. 6. Admission of students shall be once in a year.

Students shall be medically fit.

  • The admission criteria given by statutory bodies are applicable from time to time.

B. SC. NURSING –

Course Duration: 4 Years (8 Semester)

  1. Admission Criteria: –
  2. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st Dec. of the year of admission.
  3. 10 + 2 passed out from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent board, 10 + 2 examination in science conducted by National Institute of Open School.
  4. A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subject taken together at the HSC or equivalent examination.
  5. The candidates belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination be 40%.
  6. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to BSc N.
  7. MH Nursing CET Exam of that particular year as applicable.
  8. Candidate shall be medically fit.
  9. The admission criteria are to be revised and followed as per norm of I.N.C and M.U.H.S., DMER and other statutory bodies from time to time.

M. SC. NURSING-

Course Duration: 2 years

Admission Criteria:

As per Indian Nursing Council & M.U.H.S, Nashik Admission Criteria/Circular

  • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
  • The Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of: B.Sc. Nursing//Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • The candidate should have undergone in B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
