As the Society is committed to students empowerment through access to quality education at all levels, the Society started diploma and degree programmes in nursing.
The GNM diploma programme is being run since more than 20 years (Estb. Year 1997) with great success. The programme is recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Nursing Council, Mumbai and Indian Nursing Council New Delhi.
The implementation of Basic B.Sc nursing course is started from the year 2006. The programme is recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Nursing Council, Indian Nursing Council and Maharashtra University of Health Science.
Nursing has always responded to the changes in the society’s health care needs. Nursing continues to be challenging and rewarded by both new and old changing opportunities and constrains.
Hence the management of Gokhale Education Society came forward and started post graduation in Nursing since year 2018.
The institute is ISO 9001-2015 certified. The independent college building situated in the heart of the Nashik city is located in a separate beautiful premise of 3 acres. The college has built up area of over 25000 square feet with all facilities as per norms of statutory bodies. The conducive teaching learning environment is a great strength of the college.
The college has specious and adequately ventilated classrooms and well equipped laboratories including Nursing Foundation lab, MCH lab, Nutrition lab, Anatomy & Physiology lab, Community Health Nursing lab. The students are given practical experience in the lab which helps them to correlate theory with the practical. The college has an auditorium with 200 seating capacities, separate examination hall with 100 seating capacity, student’s welfare hall, guidance and counseling room and common rooms for boys and girls. The library of the college is well furnished and well equipped with rich resource of textbooks, journals, newspapers, periodical and thesis etc. which is available for the students and staff. The library has facility of internet with e library free of cost. The specious reading room and computer lab is also available for the students and staff. The college has variety of audio – visual aids like LCD, TV, OHP, Specimens, models, charts, banners, and bulletin boards etc. to make the teaching learning effective.
The students are posted along with the supervisors in various hospitals(General, Specialty and super Specialty )as well in the community health centers (Urban and Rural area), it includes NMC JDC Bytco Hospital, ESIS Hospital, Shree Guruji Hospital, Suyash Hospital, Manvata Curie Hospital, Nelson Hospital, Jairam Hospital and many more to obtain practical training to develop hands on skill as per the prescribed syllabus. This practical experience is supported with various educational visits under every subject.
The college has to its credit appreciable results since inception and meritorious students who have excelled in MNC and MUHS examination.
The placement of the students after passing is 100%. The diploma and degree holders of the institution are employed all over the state, in the country and abroad. They are employed in General, specialty and super specialty hospitals in State, primary health centers under NRHM, Government hospitals under DMER and DHS, and many more.
Some of them are holding the responsible position in various teaching institutions in and outside the state. As well few graduates have already moved to abroad on professional ground.
For achieving academic excellence, the institution gets the necessary support from other institutions which are run by the Society. The institute gets the benefit from the highly qualified faculty members belonging to various disciplines working in the institutes of the society like HPT Arts and RYK Science college, SMRK Mahila Mahavidhylaya, JDC Bytco Institute of Management And Research, BYK college of Commerce, NBT law college and R H Sapat College of Engineering and Management studies, Sir Dr M S Gosavi Institute of Pharmaceutical, Education and Research etc.
The teaching faculty of the college is highly qualified and experienced to prepare qualified and professional nurses to render quality nursing care to the client in the hospital and community at large.
The students are enriched with various support services like induction programmes, soft skill development, personality development programmes, career guidance and campus placement etc throughout the course.
